Can somebody please explain why videos are jumpy for me? I'm on Firefox 42.0. (I don't want to update to Firefox 43 because of current issues with Social Fixer.) Sometimes they start out okay, but if I pause them they then become jumpy, but usually they're all jumpy.

Videos are fine on Safari 6.1.6.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions to fix this.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

Thanks, Fred, but all my software is up to date, and I have the latest Flash version installed and enabled.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
