I have tried everything that has been suggested to permanently get rid of Bing as the search engine. For years I have used Firefox and Google as my search engine. All of a sudden, it's only Bing. I have tried everything. There is no other option other than Google in the search bar, yet it still defaults to Bing. Even when I go to Google on the internet to do a search, it comes up as Bing. I'm about to stop using Firefox forever if I can't get Google back as my search engine.

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...
