This just started, every time I access the internet, the security warning pops up, have click on open to get access. Very annoying, Internet Explorer does not have this. Do I need to change to Internet Explorer?

This is the popup when using Firefox - does not happen with Internet Explorer

thanks, this is a windows dialog pointing to a file that doesn't seem to be related to firefox at all. maybe the shortcut you use to open firefox got tampered with. you could try if reinstalling creates a new shortcut on the desktop or the start menu that works...

in addition you could run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the trial version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well (those 2 tools are specialised in browser hijackers). It is easier to just use Internet Explorer. Thanks for your response.
