i used mozilla to look at my emails then got about 80 emails from US navy ETC ?

I usually use safari but today i used firefox to open my emails, i opened one from kids high school to print stuff off then closed it next thing i get about 80 emails from people like US navy, dept of military affairs, us naval forces europe, defense information systems , federal voting assistance, us air force etc etc !saying subscription changed or welcome new user. i have not opened any of them. Anybody know why?

It sounds like you were hit by some sort of spam bot. This is likely just a coincidence that it occurred at the same time that you used Firefox.

Please try reporting the emails as a scam and contacting your email service provider for further information.
