Firefox will not permit me to click on a web address but says that "my organization's polices prohibit this".
I had to re-install Firefox which I love. It works fine when I enter a web address in the address bar. However, if I "click on" a web address in an e-mail or some such other source, Firefox responds that "my organization's polices prohibit such access" and I have to find and copy the actual e-mail address and paste it into the address bar. Some setting must be fouled up.

Is this happening in a corporate environment or in a standalone computer?
If you are trying to use a link in a desktop version of Microsoft Office, and you recently switched from 32-bit Firefox to 64-bit Firefox when 32-bit Firefox was your default browser and already removed 32-bit Firefox, this is a known problem. The same message appears if you remove Chrome while it is your default browser before switching your default browser to Firefox. There are help links toward the bottom of the following article. Apologies in advance, it gets a bit technical.
