I have the same problem as the user fb3ajb described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1027668

When entering a 'To:' address, as soon as I hit tab or enter, the 'To:' line scrolls up and it looks like I have not selected an address. But I actually have, its just that I cannot see the address because it has scrolled up out of view.

It does that also in safe mode with no add-on. I do not have the Stationery add-on installed either.

Now in config editor the following string is set to '1': mail.compose.addresswidget.numRowsShownDefault If I set it to '2' my problem is solved, but I do not want the second recipient line.

Is there a way to keep a single recipient line and after selecting a recipient address and having the mouse cursor jump to the subject field instead of wanting to add an additional recipient and thus making the recipient field appearing to be blank?

No, the drag to make more (or less) addressing space thing is still there. I use it frequently to check that I have added all the addresses I want to use. Pretty much all of my work correspondence is to multiple addressees.

For most of us, we add one or more addresses then move on to the subject lien and then the message body. You need some way to tell it that you have finished adding addresses. I'd hate it to jump straight to the subject line after the first address. But the tab button does this; it follows standard practice in taking you to the next input field.

If it did not scroll up, how could you (or anyone else) enter a second address?

Do you have such a small screen that you can't afford one empty line?

-D I know it's just a detail. But it's not as much a matter of screen space as to entering a recipient and immediately typing on the subject instead of having to use the Tab button or clicking in the subject field.

I think I remember a much older version of TB where it worked that way and if you wanted to add a second recipient dragging down the separation line between subject and body would create more recipient fields. Am I wrong?

All right you've convinced. I don't have any problem. Thanks ! :-)
