Recently uploaded FF from GP to update. Why does FF eliminate all history and book marks. Those files should not be over ridden? Are the files hidden somewhere on my mobile?

Did you remove Firefox for Android from your device beforehand?

With Android there is no need to do this, as an update will install over the top of the existing installed version.

We will not be able to recover any lost data, but I recomend that for future updates you just let Google Play install the update on top of the exisitng installed application to preserve your data and settings.
