How Can I Sort My Received Emails By Address, Not By Name?
I receive many emails from info@greenpeaceusa.org, from at least six different persons in the Greenpeace organization. I want to sort my emails by their address, not the name, since that scatters all my Greenpeace emails throughout my list, with no simple way of finding them. I have the same problem with other businesses, such as Wells Fargo, that have a single email address, but sent with different names.
I'm using Thunderbird 60.6.1 (32-bit) on a Windows 10 computer. I just want to be able to sort my received emails by their email address, and cannot find the option to do this. It seems like it would be a basic function for an email program. Thank you for any help.

In the Address Book window, select View/Sort by and choose Email, or click the Email button at the top of the Email column. Press Alt if the View menu is hidden.
Thanks for your quick reply sfhowes, but I don't need to sort the email addresses in my Address book. I need to sort the actual emails that I've received, which number in the hundreds, using the actual email address of the sender.
There are at least 19 attributes of an email that Thunderbird has deemed important enough to offer a column space, including "Correspondents," which is seemingly the same as "From" so why include that? As well as other almost useless attributes like "Recipient" and "Account." Why don't they include a really important attribute as a column choice, like the actual email address of the sender?

Try the Show Address Only add-on, to display a column in the Threads Pane with the sender's address.
