Malwarebytes detects that my prefs.js is a virus. How is this possible? Should I be concerned? What do i do about this?

Pref.js is a text file that only contains configuration data and Firefox settings. Does Malwarebytes give any detail about what is wrong? You should contact Malwarebytes about this.

Malwarebytes classifies it as a PUP.Optional.Conduit.

Wjat do you suggest?

See:

Did you recently started using Malwarebytes or are you using it for a long time (i.e. did this data recently get added or could this be a leftover entry, possibly from a Legacy extension, in prefs.js that is no longer used)?

I've used malwarebytes for many years. But I recently clean installed my PC with win 10. I copied my ff profile in it after it was clean installed. I do remember that before I saved my profile that I was having an issue with ff where in the top of ff Options it kept saying, "Your organization has made changes to your software...." something along those lines.
