Comments and notifications not opening
Hello, On Facebook website I can't see the comments under any publication, when I click on Comments nothing happens, and if I open the post in a new page there's still no comments. When I click on the notification icon the turning wheel turns without anything appearing, and if I click on View All, in the new page the notifications appear for less than a second, leaving me with a blank page.
I tried opening Firefox without any extension but the problem is still present. In fact the only way for everything to work is to open a Private Window, where after logging in Facebook I can see all comments and notifications.
In the Console Web there this kind of error message each time (I copy/paste it because the image doesn't seem to upload)
ErrorUtils caught an error: "". Subsequent errors won't be logged; see https://fburl.com/debugjs. NK-iBK7A14_.js:54:616

In the Network tab, in the normal windows there's only 101 https://edge-chat.facebook.com/chat?region=lla, and in the private windows there are also several 200 https://3-edge-chat.facebook.com (or 0-edge or any number depending on the page opened).
So if someone understands what that means and how to fix it that would be great.

Today I tried the Repair Firefox option, and everything's now working just fine. I still don't know why but I hope that'll help other people. Thanks for your time.

Firstly, you should check to make sure that your Content blocking settings are not causing the issue. This Firefox feature can sometimes break websites, like Facebook, that are dependent on trackers. I have no problem using Facebook with the Standard option, but if you are set to custom or strict, you may have some issues.
Next, if you have not done so already, make sure that you have cleared your cache and cookies on Firefox. Sometimes things as simple as a corrupt cookie or damaged cache file can cause issues like this.
Finally, you mentioned that you tried Firefox with no extensions. Does that mean that you manually disabled the extensions or did you run Firefox in Safe Mode?
If you didn't use Safe Mode, try it to see if the issue goes away. In addition to temporarily disabling your Firefox extensions, it also temporarily tweaks a few other settings (like hardware acceleration) that can also cause issues.
Hope this helps.
Firefox is set to the standard option. I already tried clearing cache and cookies, and I did run the Safe Mode as explained in the link you gave, all these with no result.
I forgot to say I tried coming back to previous versions but that didn't change anything too.
As I said it's only in Private mode that the website is working correctly. Very Strange.
when you re-installed firefox did you have it delete your old settings/config?

No it kept my profile.
Everything seems to work fine when I change to https://m.facebook.com - don't know if that information helps.

so i was right, it was settings/config.
Note that if it works with another domain then this can be disk cache or cookies.
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
