Thunderbird 73b release notes state that the address bar is now a single line. Is this optional via preferences or is there another way to have the multi line address bar? It seems if you have a long list of people to send to, having them all in one line is not as convenient to check as scrolling through a list and making any needed adjustments.

The address bar design is under development, as you can read here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440377
I don't think there's a way at the moment to switch to the old format, but I notice that the bar wraps to the window width, so there are only 5 or 6 contact 'pills' on the same line, before extra lines are automatically added. This way, it's actually easier to review a long list of contacts, instead of scrolling through several lines with a single contact. Select a pill and then Delete to remove, or other choices from the context menu.

I just updated to v68.x having previously used v60. I tried putting 4 addresses separated by commas and this worked fine. When I pasted a long list of separated it did not wrap to another line as the above bugzilla link said it would so I do see the need to fix this in a future update for people who use long mailing lists
Thanks for the info
I noticed in the Thunderbird help sections that Mozilla is no longer providing funding support for Thunderbird. Why did the Mozilla foundation discontinue funder for Thunderbird Developement?
The new address bar features are only present in 73beta - you won't see them in 68 or any release before 78.
Mozilla hasn't funded TB for the last few years, but still provides an institutional base for the project and the support forum. You can read about the details here:
