All of the answers for turning off Thread are from 2022 and refer to the "Column Selector > View > Unthreaded" But there is no longer a "View" option in the Column dropdown in May of 2023.

There is no mention of Threads in the options search. I don't see any clear walkthrough to edit the configurations. This should be a simple toggle - Threaded View = On/Off

With as many questions and follow-up responses as I've seen, why is this not a readily available option or why was it removed?

What version are you using? if you're using the release version (102), then the entry is, and has been, in the menu bar as View>Sort by>Unthreaded.

Can you provide a screenshot of where you see "View" on the menu bar? Maybe I'm just missing it.

SOLUTION FOUND 1 Turn on the Column for Threads 2 Toggle off the Thread grouping by clicking on the Thread icon. (See Image) 3 Click the columns selector 4 Scroll to the bottom 5 Apply the non-threaded view to the entire mailbox

This simple instruction didn't match any of the instructions I've seen to date. I hope this helps.

I also realized that I've been using TB this whole time without seeing the menu bar (hit alt to show/hide). So I didn't see what you were referencing when you said "menu bar".

I get it now

The View option is also in the hamburger menu in upper right. That set of instructions you documented does not change 'sort by threaded' setting; instead, it changes how threaded messages are viewed. Once a folder is set, the keystrokes you listed can be applied.

Yes. Since the new release there are some options in the menu that are missing, or they are very difficult to find. For example, view->threads->with unread, or view->sort by options. The new "view" menu should be more like the old one which included these options and was the obvious place to find them.
