Firefox starts on my iMac, but no window appears. I try File > New Window, but no window appears. I tried rebooting my iMac and I downloaded and reinstalled Firefox -- still no window. I've been using Firefox for years and have never had a problem like this. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Try to move (delete) the Firefox plist file. See How .plist files become corrupt and troubleshooting the results Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).
