When entering data into form fields such as user names and passwords in web sites the modifier field that allows the alternate functions of keyboard keys such as numbers and symbols does not work. Also, onscreen keyboard will not appear.

Because of a bug in Firefox for Android, you cannot release the Alt key before typing a number. You must hold down the Alt key while you press the number key. We're working on fixing this. For details see bug 599811.
