This basic OS operation of arrow keys up and down (for Scroll) and home-end keys have ceased to function since Firefox auto upgraded to 3.6.15. These keys still function in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Can I revert to 3.6.12 without losing all my bookmarks, etc. ?

You may have switched on caret browsing.
You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.
