how to run in 32 bit mode on a mac 10.6.7 so I can use Rapport Trusteer
The security software Rapport Trusteer for HSBC bank has just been updated to run on Firefox 4 but will only run in 32 bit mode, I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.7. How do I change Firefox 4 to run in 32 bit mode?

To set Firefox to always run in 32 bit mode, open up Finder and go to the Applications folder. Control-click the Firefox app and click "Get Info", then select the "Open in 32-bit mode" option.

Above useful - but further query....maybe I'm just missing something - works OK as administrator using Firefox...but if another user signs in on same set..Firefox does not display the icon...can this be overcome ??? Appreciate any help.
Hi I am having a similar problem but when I go to get info I don't have the open in 32 bit tick box at all. Any ideas?
I also do not have the option of "Open in 32 bit mode". With this issue in addition to Silverlight and Adobe Acrobat, I'm just about ready to go back to the previous major release. What were you thinking, Mozilla?
Perhaps this will help. I use Path Finder, with Finder removed from the Dock. So of course, when following the directions above, I went to Path Finder, right-clicked, clicked Get Info, and there was no option for "Open in 32-bit Mode". Same goes for right clicking on the Firefox icon from the Applications folder in the Dock.
I restarted so Finder would appear in the Dock, followed the directions using Finder, and *indeed* there is an option for "Open in 32-bit Mode".
Apparently, you MUST follow these instructions from within Finder.

Have now realised that -every- user needs to change Firefox to 32-bit mode - not just administrator, using info from TonyE above, as obviously this is a -per user- setting....
