Bookmarking pop-up is a jumble of colored squares tonight. Had this problem during one of the beta versions.

When I try to bookmark a page, the pop-up for bookmarking is a meaningless jumble of colored squares. When I click inside the jumble, sometimes the box appears as it should, but when I try to scroll through my categories, it either goes back to the jumble, or disappears. This happened quite a bit during the development of the new Firefox, but not much lately until tonight.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox 4 Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
