Shortcuts created by dragging a link on the desktop open in the default browser.

If you want to open a site in a specific (not the default) browser then make a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut and add a space and the URL at the end of the target line in the properties of that shortcut.

I don't know but try this: go to IE & tools & internet options & programs & manage add on. Click on the drop down on "what add on that have been used or currently used or ones that run without your permission" read everything as this could make some other changes as it says. I've never touch anything in this area and would like to but I'm not sure about it and what it could do. I hope this will work for you.

HI,

I tried the suggestions with negative results. I decided to just remove firefox totally from my system and put it back on. It worked great, have no problem. Still don't know what caused it, but I got it working like it was new.
