Bank of America Cashpro accepts Firefox 5 but not Firefox 6. We uninstalled V.6 and installed V.5, but when we reopen Firefox, it upgrades itself automatically to V.6, which we cannot use. How do we tell Firefox to stay on V.5, and stop upgrading to V.6?

How do we tell Firefox to stay on Version 5, and to stop upgrading by itself to Version 6? (or at least to ask if we want to upgrade, instead of upgrading on its own)

We unchecked the automatically update, but it updated anyway. Any other suggestions?
look in about:config area this two
app.update.auto
app.update.enable
if is true make it false both, by double click on it.

If files already have been downloaded then you need to remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
You can delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
