firefox wont delete my history or my usernames or my passwords

ive tryed 7 times now and no matter what firefox wont delete my history or my usernames or my passwords i went to history then clear recent history and i clicked on everything to delete it acts like its deleteing everything but its not deleteing anything i still have my history my usernames and my passwords why wont this delete ive even shut down my computer and brought it back up but that doesnt even work. whats rong with firefox y isnt it working right? i cannot find anything in the help ive searched and searched and searched but it wont tell me anything

  • Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Have you tried to clear your cache ? Click the Firefox button in the top left corner then click Preferences and Preferences again. In the Firefox Preferences window go to Advanced then click the Network Tab , where it says Offline Storage Click Clear Now. Hope this helps.
