How do I go back to Firefox 8. I did not select to upgrade to Firefox 9 because I am already having using recipe fox in 8.
This morning when I turned my computer, Firefox automatically updated to Firefox 9. I did not want to update as I am happy with 8. I actually didn't want to go to 8 because of the problems with using Recipefox, but at least it works sometimes. How can I go back to what I have been using. I do not want automatic updates done to my browser. I will update when I am ready.
How do I get back to Firefox 8?

Recipefox 0.63 is claimed to be compatible with Firefox versions 3.5 - 10
- Add-on page --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/recipefox/
- There are 2 links on that page:

Firefox 8.0 was superceded by Firefox 8.0.1 which was superceded by Firefox 9.0 which was superceded by Firefox 9.0.1.
- Is is not advisable to use Firefox 8.0 as it has security and stability issues that have not and will not be corrected.
- Each new version supercedes the previous version and the previous version is then no longer supported.
- Only Firefox 3.6.25 and Forefox 9.0.1 are currently supported and updated.
- Firefox 10 will supercede Firefox 9 at the end of January 2012.
- Support for Firefox 3.6.25 will end soon, but a firm date has not been established.

I am currently using Firefox 3.6.26 because I found Firefox 10 to be unstable it kept hanging and also could not use IE tab and as I have lost IE8 as corrupt and cant uninstall had to downoad Chrome to download 3.6.26 and unintall 10 etc.
Now I find that I cant update any of my add ons in 3.6.26 I get this message.
Firefox could not install updates to add ons bcause unexpected installation error. Review the error console log for more details.
I havent got a clue where this log is kept not tech minded can find my way around if directed step by step but this is new.
I love Firefox and was happy enough with Firefox 8.0 and 8.01 but trouble started with 9.01 and 10 well..........
I would go back to Firfox 8 as I had a version but when I loaded it - it just updated itself next time it booted up etc.
So went back to last known stable happy with it 3.6
I dont like Chrome it is clunky and have unsed Firefox for last what 9 years and happy until now.
so can someone help me with add ons update for 3.6 until they sort out the latest version and I see now Firefox 11 is out - they sure come fast and furious maybe too fast?
