personas only show background colors, no images, I have latest version
For quite a while now I have tried to use personas, but only a few work, the others only show the background colors and no images

Are you using the default theme?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Are that personas from the Getpersonas site?
Are you using the Personas Plus extension?
If you do then does it work if you disable that extension?
I go to the link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/personas/ and just hover over the personas and it only changes to the background color no image, and have downloaded them to see if that made a difference, it did not. I had used the Personas Plus extension, but it did the same thing, so I removed the extension.
