Google search engine in search toolbar has a bug!
Hi
Hi might have a bug on my search toolbar for Google.
When I try to search anything with the google search engine I get:
"404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /cse?cx=partner-pub-3540673482024757%3Ac8hkjv-9xef&q=teste&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t was not found on this server."
I've deleted the cache and all cookies for google and still doesn't work!
Thank you

it was malware NOT DETECTED by any of those applications
It's ok now. What I did:
- remove/unistall totally firefox
- uninstall everthing regarding a malware application named something like sweet*, sweetIM, sweetpack, etc.
- unistall a malware application named tuto4PC
- reinstall firefox
then it's OK

I found that Google does not search when allowed to use javascript. Maybe try disabling javascript for Google. You can do that easily with the extension YesScript. It is a blacklist for javascript, and only blacklisted sites are prevented from using it.
Look, the problem persists
When I use google on search toolbar I get this
It seems It's malware, do you recomend anything free to check to system for malware? Thank you
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If you suspect malware the do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

this is REALLY STRANGE
- I made a reset to firefox
- I entered in safe mode
- I disabled ALL plug-ins
and every time I go to search toolbar and google some expression I get
what a puzzle!!!!
PS: The IE search toolbar is working fine

Try getting a Google search plugin from mycroft.mozdev.org, and forget about using the Google search plugin that comes with Firefox. That one is far too nosy anyway. It would seem that Google has fixed their search bug, and one can now do a search with javascript enabled again (not that I want to).
