Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

This is caused by a security relevant fix (Bug 775879) that has landed in Firefox 16.

eBay has been notified and is aware of this issue and will hopefully provide a solution for this issue. [/questions/939512] Problems uploading pictures on eBay's website since Firefox upgrade to 16.0

Than you cor-el for your response.

How will I know when the bug is resolved?

more options

As cor-el has mentioned, a bug has been filed on this yet ebay still needs to work on this issue. Please contact ebay so they can fix this issue asap. Please also refer them to the bug and this thread so they don't blame the issue on Firefox.

Thanks!

Here is my response...

Hello Phillip,

Thank you for writing to eBay in regard to not able to upload picture.

Phillip,I can understand your disappointment due to this. I also confirm that there is no such technical issue on the site. The issue that you are facing is because of the Firefox 16 browser that you are using. This browser has been launched recently and is still in the Beta (Development) phase and that is why it may not support all features on a given site.

I suggest that you kindly use Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 3.6(not Safari or Google Chrome as even they aren't compatible) or any other computer and certainly you won't face any issues. We do hear similar issues from other eBay members using Firefox 16.0 browser. You may be able to download lower version and best compatible browser for eBay by going to the link mentioned below:

http://anywhere.ebay.co.uk/

I trust this information is useful. Please write back to us if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards,

I will raise this to my colleague for investigation.

Firefox 16 has been released in Oct 2012 (almost 6 months ago) and is definitely not in beta state, so that looks like outdated info.
Firefox 20 is in beta state and will be released in the first week of April.
