If I visit a website (e.g. http://www.sakisgouzonis.com) all GIF images work fine. But if I close Firefox and open it again (without hovering over the web page), all GIF images stand still. I have to hover over the web page for the GIF images to start playing.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Thank you. It appears that one of my add-ons caused the problem.
