Does the free download files have viruses? My Norton keeps deleting them so I can't download Firefox.

My Firefox browser stopped working so I went to the website to download an update but my security system (Norton) deleted the files saying the Setup file had a virus. I uninstalled Firefox and went to your main website and tried to do the free download again and again Norton deleted the files twice saying they had a virus.

Use Kaspersky as Anti-Virus . It is far better than any other anti-virus .

To answer your question: Of course not! There is no virus in the Mozilla Firefox download!

This is an interesting problem. What browser are you using to download Firefox? Are you downloading the entire browser, or just the installer stub? If all else fails, turn off your anti-virus to install Firefox, then turn it back on. (Most installation instructions say to do this anyway)
