How do I close Firefox to download Yahoo Messenger to my computer?

I recently tried to download/reinstall Yahoo Messenger on my computer but at approximately 80% download received a message stating I needed to sign off or close Firefox to continue the operation. However, I can't find a way to close Firefox.

Chosen solution

Look at the top right corner of the Firefox window. The X in the red box. will close the window that it is on.

Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Then select File > Exit.
