about:config in the Address Bar:

network.dns.disableIPv6 2 true network.dns.disablePrefetch 2 true network.prefetch-next true by default network.dns.disablePrefetch 2 true (may result in a slowdown) network.proxy.socks_remote_dns 2 true (just a security feature, unrelated)

Select Run from Windows Start menu. Type: firefox -ProfileManager

(In order to create a fresh profile, just to mess w/it)

^^ All of these are most probably useless to you, if you're getting crashes from a fresh (OS) install.. Perhaps it's a plugin, from Windows, that's interfering; or some memory access thingy (like, maybe, faulty RAM); or your GPU can't handle some rendering, like:

askvg.com/how-to-disable-hardware-acceleration-gpu-rendering-in-mozilla-firefox-4-0-to-fix-font-problem/

.. or, it's something different (hehe); & I missed listing it. :-$

P.S. Maybe there isn't enough power, from your PSU; or something ridiculous like that; though it seems highly unlikely that it should be even possible for that to be the case..:)

Edit: "[..] have run malwarebytes and virus scanner." - on a fresh Windblows install, hm.

Riiight, it would help if I read the Crash Report xD

Lots of results, for EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ point to RAM and/or teh video drivers (?) :

Edit: Dafuq, "Disabling HTTPS Everywhere prevents the crash" - so are you, like, 4 sure running Firefox w/o any Add-ons and a clean profile (not safe mode).
