When I click on a link it opens in a new tab instead of replacing the page I'm on. I have the open new links in a new tab unchecked. Happened after latest update. Anyone know what is going on?

Hi Mmikem6977, This could be an unsaved preference: How to fix preferences that won't save and Common questions after updating to Firefox version 29 might be helpful first.

If these do not help please look at the about:config page and set: browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction][

and browser.link.open_newwindow To the desired preference.

Firefox may be misreading the state of the Ctrl key on your keyboard, behaving as though you have it pressed down. If pressing other keys causes strange behavior, then this would be the prime suspect.

Sometimes tapping the Ctrl key vigorously several times will set things right; in some cases you end up having to shut down and restart Windows.
