How do I tie icon files to properties of bookmarks?
When I was using the IE browser, I created icons (****.ico) for my files and bookmarks through properties. When I migrated to Firefox browser, the bookmarks and files were restored, but without the .ico properties. I went to Firefox tools/properties but the only option seems to be a "description". Can I restore the .ico properties?

firefox doesn't have the concept of bookmark folder icons. ideally when you visit a bookmark with no favicon yet manually, the icon should appear to the bookmark afterwards...

hello, in order to automatically add the favicons to your imported bookmarks you can try to use the following extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/faviconreloader/
I tried this - it shows up as an extension. Supposed to fetch icons from website - that has not happened when I have tried several sites - screen shows dashed square box instead of icon - Meanwhile, folders I created that use to have ***.ico files do not appear at all as they did in Internet explorer.
after installing the addon you have to initiate the scan for favicons once: press the alt-key to show the menu bar, go to the bookmarks and select the option to reload the favicons.
Helpful to an extent - many sites timed out or have to be "manually" entered - When I manually enter these, will the fav icon autoload?
However, the folder icons are still not appearing, while many of the url fav icons do show up.

Disappointing; but that explains it. Thanks
