Fast user switching and resolution changes causes top menu to be placed outside main window frame

After switching resolution or using fast user switching the top menu frequently is placed partially outside the main frame of the program, making it impossible to access the tabs. The standard buttons for the mac window (the three coloured buttons to the left and the maximize button to the right) ends up overlapping the firefox interface.

I would attach a screen shot, but I can't seem to figure out any way to do this.
