Firefox is running so slow that I have been over an hour trying to post this question. My characters while typing are delayed several seconds and when I try to scroll down a page, there is several seconds of delay between each line. Changing pages takes forever. it was working fine and I have no idea what happened. Ran a virus and malware scan on computer but showed no problem. Hate iE so please help.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar

Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

Thanks. I updated flashplayer earlier today and that seemed to take care of the problem. I will also update shockwave.

Best wishes,
