Thunderbird goes offline when I close it, how do I fix this behavior?

more options

This problem is a variation of another problem in the forums. I use Thunderbird on a Windows 7 platform. When I close Thunderbird, it goes offline. When I reopen Thunderbird, it asks if I want to work online. I don't boot the PC between the close and reopen of Thunderbird. How do I stop this behavior? Thanks much. Regards, collie-37690
