Mozilla is set as my default email, and my browser is Firefox, but when I click on "email us" on a web page, I am sent to the Gmail home page.

I use Foxfire as my browser and Mozilla as my default email. I have also recently opened a Gmail account. Since opening the Gmail account, when I am browsing and want to sent an email to a website and click on "email us", I am sent to the Gmail home page instead of Mozilla. And worse, the website address that I wanted to write to is not brought along. I have repeatedly reset Mozilla as the default email, but that doesn't stop the problem. How do I get Gmail out of the loop, and return to the way it used to be, with Mozilla opening up with a blank email and the website address filled in?
