I would like to switch to Thunderbird - am currently using Microsoft Outlook 2010 - if I download and install Thunderbird am I able to use both (Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird) until I feel secure enough that all my email addresses work (send and receive) in Thunderbird?

I'm not very confident with setting up software on a computer - would appreciate your help and advise.

Thank You Ness

You can run Outlook and Thunderbird in parallel. If you set up your account in Thunderbird as a POP account, make sure to check the option to leave messages on the server in the server settings. To set up the account in Thunderbird just run the new account wizard. http://en.flossmanuals.net/thunderbird/account-set-up/

Thank you so very much for your help it's appreciated.

Very easy for anyone with computer knowledge to pass this over thinking it's easy and I should know or I should try myself - but very hard for someone without computer knowledge to get the confidence to try - so once again, thank you.

Am going to set up next wee, will let you know how I go.

Thanks again Ness
