How can I have bolder text with Firefox and Thunderbird? eg. tabs,addressbar, along leftside Thunderbird(sent,trash,inbox,etc.)

eg.,Thunderbird top of window tabs, address-bar and along left side Thunderbird (sent, trash, inbox, etc.). Before I refreshed my computer and reinstalled the mail box and browser I know it was much easier to read.. Thanks, Visually challenged.
