How do I retrieve an email?

more options

Received an email. Saw a blank space and put cursor on it and pressed Delete, once. (Brain thought I was in Forward.) Email disappeared. Found in Trash. Highlighted the email and dragged it to Inbox and released. Did not appear in Inbox. Is not still in Trash. Went to Sent. Highlighted an email I had sent to same person and dragged it to Inbox. It too has disappeared. Where are they?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

So sorry! I could have sworn I applied my query to Mozilla Thunderbird. Would you please move it? Many Thanks.
