On this support page, you have 'sign in' but you don't allow people to register in a simple way.

For most, if not all except Mozilla, after selecting sign in, one is given the opportunity to register if one is not yet registered.

Why can't Mozilla have this option?

I wanted to say thanks for answering an issue I had with the browser but I wasn't registered so I could not. So I had to go through this long process of trying to register in order to say thanks

Registering otherwise than via creating a new question is a bit hidden, but is possible.
