How can I merge windows?

more options

(Unfortunately, it's hard to find other questions, answers, and support articles about this.)

Between clumsiness, an adblock bug, etc. I often end up with multiple Firefox windows. How can I merge all these windows? I know there is advice to drag tabs from one window to another, but that requires extra mousing to switch windows, move windows one out of the way of eah other, and drag the tabs.

Yes, the standard method is to make the "source" window (the one you want to move tabs from) resizable so you can drag individual tabs from its tab bar to the "destination" window, which you would generally want immediately behind it.

I am aware of some extensions which might work for you, but I haven't tried them myself):

If you try one or both of those, please let us know how well they address your needs.
