I just start thunderbird and it crashes. I can't get an error report. I added no addons. and I uninstalled completely, reinstalled and redown loaded my gmail. and still the same. It says "not responding" for ever

Chosen solution

Hold the shift key and start Thunderbird and hold it until you are prompted to enter safe mode.

What anti virus are you using? They have a propensity to hang Thunderbird.

I don't have any idea how to get a crash report. And I don't know if I can get it if I just open it up and it crashes. Even when I'm not connected to the internet.

Crashes or hangs, I get the feeling your talking about a hang.

I guess it hangs. It opens the main window, then says on the top, not responding on the top. And I can't do anything. Just frozen. I guess you call that hanging. IF you have any instructions, I'm not so computer savy, SO I need exact direction. Thanks Daniel
