Chosen solution

The reason is due to you trying to download with a browser useragent showing you have Windows XP.

As of Firefox 42.0.2, the WinXP SP2 users cannot install Firefox 43.0.2 or newer Releases (due to signing on Windows) while WinXP SP3 users can.

You can either install the 43.0.1 and the update to 43.0.4 or if you have WinXP SP3 get 43.0.4 from say https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/43.0.4/win32/

Hello,

Currently the latest version is 43.0.4 and if you download Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ you will get that latest version. Version 43.0.4 was only released yesterday, so maybe the download page wasn't yet up-to-date.

I have Windows XP Sp3, but am only getting 43.0.1.. Which installs, but does NOT OPEN/RUN. When I click on the Firefox Icon, it ONLY BEEPS. NOTHING comes up in Task Manager. In other words, there is NOTHING even Trying to start. Shift-Clicking Also Only gives a BEEP.

I think it is the same unsolved problem:

When I update my firefox for winXP sp3 online pc thru [help -> About firefox] (installer) it gives me the latest update (for example 47.0.1 version), BUT, when I download from [www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/] (offline intaller, for another XP sp3 offline pc) it gives me 43.0.1 version(!)

Why is so easy to make the things difficult?
