when i go to firefox, even if i use the private page, sites i went to before keep popping up in the dictionary list. how do i stop those sites from popping up
How do i stop sites i visited from popping up in the dictionary bar. I use private window on firefox
Chosen solution
Hi hamsy.
Those sites are not remembered by Firefox, but suggested by your keyboard dictionary. There should be a possibility to clean the keyboard suggestions (sometimes called dictionary) in your phone settings, but that depends on your keyboard (pre-installed by the manufacturer, custom, ...).

Hi hamsy.
What do you mean by dictionary bar? Do you mean the address bar, where you can type the URL or term to search on the web?
Not the URL/address bar. It is the box immediately above the keyboard which shows up and enables to type in the URL. It seems that the system remembered sites visited even though i used Firefox private tab

In Firefox, there is only address bar (combined with search bar). Can you please make a screenshot of it?

If it's a system or other application input field, them it will remember what you've typed in based on the app/system settings. Firefox cannot delete data from other apps.

I finally learned how to take a screen shot, and uploaded it. If you look above the keyboard you will see three sites which continually pop up anytime I open up Firefox. These sites should not have been remembered since I used a private tab. I want to stop them showing up Thanks

SOLUTION Press and hold the words/site. Something pops up asking if they should be deleted. Say YES and the culprits disappear. Thanks Community Support for helping me to finally discover the solution
