I'm relocating my office and need to change signature to show that. Current signature resides on my desktop with .htm at end of it. I tried opening and editing it with no success. I've tried to create a new signature to no avail. I know it can be done as I created original signature seven years ago but cannot remember how. Every google/bing search comes up with how to do so on PC but not Mac. Help greatly appreciated

Chosen solution

Tools > account settings is tools > account settings on MAC or Windows. It is Edit > account settings for Linux.

Right clicking the account in the folder pane and selecting account settings is also another way to get there.

As far as editing it, create a new mail message which has your current signature. Delete the two -- on a line by themselves. Edit as you wish, File save as > File and chose html as an option.

The two -- are the start of the signature and Thunderbird inserts them, so you don't want a duplication in your signature. Hence you delete them.

Go into account settings and you should see a signature field. Just below that is an option to select the signature from an html file.

Thanks but I tried to do that; settings sidebar shows no signature choice just those which follow:

Website Server Settings Copies & Folders Composition & Addressing Junk Settings Disk Space Return Receipts Security Local Folders Junk Settings Disk Space

Outgoing Server (SMTP)

Matt, thank you for the info. The instructions are for PCs, not Mac so am having trouble 'converting'.

Secondly, when I click on Tools, then Account Settings, no account appears in the sidebar.

Is there a way to edit the current htm signature I have been using? I'm moving my office and need signature block to show new address.

Thanks,

Doug

Matt, thank you so much. I was finally able to change the signature and, obviously, could not have done so without your help. Have a great day.
