Yes, I understand. But Thunderbird reads the date and time from your computer system. So is your system set correctly for Sydney? The answer is usually to be found by checking your 'regional settings' or something like that -- it varies according to the operating system you use.

My problem is that new emails arrive with USA date and time. For example today is Monday 22/2/16 at 10.00 pm in Sydney. Emails arrive showing 21/2/16 at 9.00 pm which is USA day and time.
