After upgrade to 45.0,

in hotmail
 compose/new message AND forward or reply to currently reading message
 hangs without going to a new screen ;
 also, if I attempt to download a file while reading/displaying an email,
   I get a small blank window where I would normally see options to save or open .

In addition,

 in hotmail calendar,
 scrolling forward or backward within calendar
 leaves blank areas of the calendar display
 and 'show more/less' does nothing .

If I restart firefox with ad-ons disabled,

 it still fails .

All worked fine on 44.0.2 .

AND all works fine with IE 11 .

IF I revert to 44.0.2 ALL works fine !

I am running Windows 7, updated .
