I keep have annoying mallware buttons popping up in the webpages. I've tried everything; Reseting Firefox, deleting history, deleting all the prefs & uninstalling installing again, it just keeps coming back. The pages keep refreshing and it's making my whole computer slow and crash sometimes. Please help!

Please check all possibilities if you haven't already. It doesn't look like you have any ad-blocker installed. If that is the case, you are probably not infected with malicious software but the ads just don't get blocked. __________________________________________________ A AD-BLOCKER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR NON-BLOCKED ELEMENTS. 1. Do you have an ad-blocker installed that would block most of the buttons?

  • YES: Next step.
  • NO: Install an ad-blocker like AdBlock Plus.

2. Is the ad-blocker active on all pages?

  • YES: Next step.
  • NO: Activate your ad-blocker.

4. Are blocking lists selected/enabled/up-to-date?

  • YES: Problem is probably not caused by your ad-blocker.
  • NO: Activate/enable/update your blocking lists (for AdBlock Plus).

5. Report your results. __________________________________________________ B MALWARE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDING ELEMENTS TO ALL PAGES. 1. Do you have a working ad-blocker installed that would block most of the buttons (possibility A checked already)?

  • YES: Next step.
  • NO: Go to possibility A.

2. Check all lately installed programs. Is there any suspicious program?

  • YES: Deinstall. Restart computer. Check if problem is solved.
  • NO: Next step.

3. Install Anti-virus program. Does it track down any malicious software?

  • YES: Deinstall. Restart computer. Check if problem is solved.
  • NO: Report your results.
