Firefox 45.0.1 - Trouble with loading bing.com from home button (NOT the address entered in options - I double checked that) is it a bug in Firefox ?
This afternoon, i started to notice a problem with Firefox (v.45.0.1). When I would press the "home" button, it would NOT take me back to www.bing.com, but would display a blank white page, and it would keep trying to load the page without success (It is doing it right now with THIS page! - [transferring data from support.cdn.mozilla.net...`]). If I entern the address manually in the URL box, it will go there immediately, without the continual loading. I checked the address for the homepage in Options, and replaced it completely, without any success. I then considered that the problem was with the Bing website, so i changed the address in the start page box in Options to "http://www.yahoo.com", and it loaded without any problems. I then ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, suspecting a foreign bug, but it was clean. I also checked the Bing website on Internet Explorer, and Opera (both loaded with any dificulty). So, it has to be a bug in Firefox (although, i did NOT check other websites on the other two broswers, so i COULD be an addon Application causing the problem ( I have been having problems with Flash Player crashing and also opening multiple times [When I open the Task Manager] - it is currently NOT running).

I was not able to replicate this issue on my system.
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
