After updating to Windows 10. When I am typing a new email the screen will minimize itself to the task bar. It happens about every 30 seconds regardless if you are typing or not. I was able to eliminate the problem with an update. It worked normally for about a week and it has started to do the same thing again. I am on version 38.7.2.

Thank you Toad-Hall. I have auto save set to 5 minutes. Restarting with addons disabled solved the problem. Now all I need to do is to figure out which addon is causing the problem.

How frequently do you auto save ? 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Composition' > 'General' tab select 'auto save every eg: 5 minutes How many minutes were selected?

Please restart Thunderbird in Safe Mode and retest to see if the Write window works correctly. In Thunderbird 'Help' > 'Restart with addons disabled'
