The arrows under Correspondents are confusing. For a recipient, it would be better to precede it by "To:" and get rid of the arrows.

In Thunderbird, I find the arrows confusing. When I look at a correspondent, I cannot tell if the message is the one I sent to that person (I always copy myself) or the person replying to my message. Looking at the arrows takes time and the direction is confusing. It would be far better to precede the name of a recipient by "To:". In that way, it is obvious that the person is a recipient. In that way, you can get rid of the confusing arrows.

Turn off the Correspondent column and turn on From and Recipient Columns.
