I have set a master password. However, I am repeatedly asked to input the master password every 30 seconds or so. Why?

I have successfully set a master password. I have the ability to view all my private data including stored passwords.

Yet, I am being continually requested to type in the master password, again and again and again.

Did you install any extensions that would timeout master password (Master password timeout or Master Password+)?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
